5 Things You Must See at the Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show

Date:

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is back in town for its 59th year. Running from October 31st – November 4th, the show will once again take over “The Yachting Capital of the World”, Fort Lauderdale. The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is the ultimate boat show experience. It encompasses 7 venues, 3 million sq. ft. of exhibition space, over 1,200 exhibitors and more than 1,500 boats will be on display. The event attracts more than 110,000 people from 52 countries around the world.

Food and fun are integrated throughout shows, programs, and demonstrations ranging from underwater photography to spearfishing. Of course, viewing the latest and greatest yachts and boating technology are at the top of the list of things to do. But that’s not all that’s being offered—this boat show is expanding its repertoire in a variety of ways.

Culinary

The Fort Lauderdale International Boat Show is amplifying the experience with culinary offerings to entice the palate. Vendors at the event itself are serving up everything from pizza to burgers, with vegetarian and vegan options scattered throughout. Purchase your ticket in advance to acquire a specialty ticket that grants you access to exclusive culinary experiences, some of them from restaurants local to the area. From foods made by local restaurants right in the area to a full selection of wines and craft beers, you can enjoy the boat show in culinary paradise.

Demos

Some of boating’s biggest names are making an appearance at FLIBS. When you’re perusing the offerings, keep an eye out for names such as Aquila Power Catamarans, Stamas Yacht, and Monterey Boats. All of the vendors here recognize the size and value of this boat show, and some of them will be showing off some of their newer technologies, ranging from engines to sport boats.
